Kaneki doesn't think he is naive, not exactly (okay, maybe he is!) - but rather, he prefers to believe in the kindness of others. He has been helped by many, Adrian included, so to think everyone could be a potential danger is not something kaneki wants; he'd rather people everyone will be potentially friendly.

I think, specially in a world like this, kindness is what we need the most. Maybe that makes me naive but... I think it will be okay.
