Now that was something Alexis hadn't actually thought about. What was the last thing she remembered? That could be tricky. Sometimes memories from years before popped up fresh as if they happened yesterday. And sometimes she couldn't remember what she'd had for lunch.
She leaned back in her chair with a frown, crossing one leg and putting one hand over her mouth (ew, that would take some getting used to - in fact, it looked, if one were watching, like she might have missed at first, because her aim was a little off).
"Last thing, last thing..." she muttered. "Oh! Carbon nanotubes, that's right! I was uh...borrowing" she winked, "a bunch of post-purification carbon nanotubes from Beaks Manufacturing. You have no idea what these things can be used for, they're amazing! Conductive smart gloves, here I come!"
Then her face darkened. "Except that dirty cape showed up. OoohhhhHHHH, he burns my circuits! Filthy feathered freak!" She pounded a fist on the little table hard enough to knock her glass over, but she ignored it, and if she'd had her powers, angry little arcs of electricity would have been jumping over and around her clenched hand.

"It was a lucky shot. A lucky shot!"
