CHARACTERS: Waldo Butters
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: He's a forensic examiner from Chicago who couldn't become a medical doctor because he was scared of hurting people. He's nervous but very stubborn. Butters has seen some things and helped his friends fight off supernatural menaces but that doesn't make suddenly appearing in a different world and being told he's going to turn into a monster that much easier.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER WILL BE DOING: Turning into a beautiful birb.

He's trying to get settled in, satisfy a sudden sugar craving and figure out some things like how to get out of here and how to get around the whole "eating people" thing (that should start this month or the next). He'll also be on the lookout for forms of magic even muggles like him can use, but he's very much not a god guy. He'll be working at Crowe clinic and trying not to freak out about it or break down about anything else. In the long run he'll save enough money for an accordion. You're welcome.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: He generally needs CR. He's a sucker for anyone who seems to be hurt and that could be genuine hurt or a wounded deer gambit. Come stress him out. If anyone needs a musician he also plays drums.
ANYTHING ELSE: Content warning: as he starts asking questions and becomes hungry he'll probably come to the conclusion that the monsters should eat each other. Suicidal thoughts are possible.

NAME: Carrie
CHARACTERS: Mello

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: I should c/p from the last one but I'm too lazy to find it so: potential detective gone bad at an early age, international terrorist, former mafioso, vain mf, current vamp who 1. runs with the nest 2. is probably going to low-key work both sides by helping L with detective stuff, Mello's a pretty hard character to get along with unless he decides he jives with someone and even then, it's touchy. He tries, though! ~~mostly~~

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:So far, I'm probably going to have him scoping noobs for stuff like recon and building his own little network/hierarchy for the whole low-key detective thing and he'll be going on a mountain expedition with nesters some time during the month. Other than that, the worst of his arc is over so I'm going to have him being way more social and less...touchy when it comes to common interaction so he'll prob be more likely to speak to someone for "no" reason. (there is always a reason.)

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: See above! Does your character have anything to do with P.I./law enforcement/military/~~mafia~~ stuff in canon? Hit me up.

ANYTHING ELSE: I'm starting a hardcore job which requires 7 weeks of like m-thurs training in which I'll be getting out at midnight and perpetually tired so my tagging might not be the best till that's over, but after that my schedule is gonna be so sick. Either way, I'll be able to hit stuff at least once per day and I'm pretty good at boomeranging network stuff when the time comes, so overall, no worries!

NAME: Kit
CHARACTERS: Heather Mason
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Heather is a scrappy, surly bird of prey who will kick your ass. She'll kick everyone's ass. She'll kick her OWN ass.
She's kind of a walking contradiction in that when you see her, she's talking big and swaggering like the toughest punk rooster on the block, but she also seems wary to the point of paranoia of letting anybody get too close. She's lost a lot of people and has retreated into total avoidance of most of her (many) issues-- she no longer holds much from home close (not even the good things), preferring to take comfort in her new identity as a rowdy, wrong-side-of-the-tracks raptor.
But somewhere under all the grime and trust/abandonment issues, there's a heart of gold. She's got a big soft spot for other vulnerable youths and strays and will go out of her way to look out for them. But it's all under the obligatory veneer of tough, gruff street attitude. Even those who she considers her friends and family find her prickly and tough to pry the armor off of-- it's not that she doesn't care, she just... you know. TRUST NO ONE, DON'T GET HURT, AND IF SOMEONE HURTS YOU E A T T H E M.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: When she's not caught in an infinite, self-sabotaging loop of ass-kicking, she can usually be found either nailing shiny objects to her treehouse/nest in Djavulenstad, or flitting around Bavan making shady business transactions at various nightclubs and bars (gotta get those ~~large alcohol manufacturers pissed off at the Devil's Nest~~ sweet cash dollas), or busking on the street-- she's got that harpy singing voice, might as well use it, right?
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Well, negative CR is a given: Heather is kind of an asshole at this point, and she has a tendency to mouth off to strangers. So I'm more than happy to let her get into some fisticuffs/otherwise get herself into trouble.
Otherwise, I'd definitely love to develop some positive, long-lasting CR for her-- it can be TOUGH to get to that point, given her... well, Heather-ness, but any characters who might be patient enough to actually chip away at her walls and get to her softer side would be very welcome!
ALSO, she is SUPER INTERESTED in attempting to murder the Fog and/or Fourth Gods. So if anyone wants to chuck some fellow deicidal folks in her direction, MAYBE SOME THINGS CAN GET GOIN'.
ANYTHING ELSE: Standard trigger warnings for Silent Hill apply-- it's a very M-rated horror canon that deals with lots of triggery themes like child abuse, religious/cult brainwashing, and sexual violence. If there's anything that you need me to avoid, let me know right off the bat and I'll be sure to steer clear of it!
Schedule-wise, October really kicked my butt but hopefully November will a little less chaotic! I'm a medium/slow-but-steady paced tagger.

CHARACTERS: Soeki Hampton-Crowe (nee Halloway-Crowe)
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Former necromancer, current werebear, goth boy at heart, owner of Crowe Clinic in Bavan (he's not licensed he's literally playing doctor oh god). Soeki has been in Ryslig for going on two years now and is pretty blase about a lot of things at this point. He can be a bit of an asshole, instead of a heart of gold it's more a heart of pyrite, but He Tries. Once he's on your side he's on your side through whatever crazy shit you do.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Building up the clinic. Now that they have a real staff (holy shit), he'll be pulling away from the actual medical parts a little bit to focus on fundraising and expanding into the next door building so all his doctorly fellas can have nice offices and space to work. I'm thinking Thanksgiving and Christmas fundraising parties to come, more likely than not. Ugly sweater party or formal gala? He's also living that newly married life.

CHARACTERS: AM (

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS:

AM is a crazy psychopathic sadistic supercomputer who really hates humans. He gets off to torturing them and messing with them. In Ryslig obviously he's in a human form, and still has trouble adjusting to that at times. But he's a demon and he likes it.

Rhoda is a charming little eight-year-old girl who is just the cutest thing ever and also will kill you without remorse. c: She generally enjoys charming adults for material items and showing off how perfect she is... And if someone messes with her, well, you might end up being killed by her. Oops.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING:

AM has gotten some fun people to torture lately so he's in an okay mood. But otherwise he is, as always, attempting to climb up the ranks. Now that hacking and coding is a thing with the laptops, he plans to do a lot with that. He's just a bit more private about it.

Rhoda is adjusting to troll life. She has fully transformed and I'm assuming has fed by now, but she's still not super keen on eating people. While she kills with no remorse, eating people is gross, ew. I'm thinking she may recover her penmanship medal through Mana, so she can show it off.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

AM - Since he's the head of the supplementary labs involving gods, he may uncover some god research as a result. He also will be hacking! So if you want anything involving these things, please let me know! Also, he can always use people to torture or harass, so if you want to subject your character to awful things, please feel free. Otherwise, I do need more positive CR for him as well. ("Positive" meaning he'll keep you around and pretend to be your friend.) His only positive CR at this point is like... Wrench and Lust. Oh I also would love to have him go to monster jail at some point!!!

Rhoda - Admittedly I don't have as much to do with her. However, she hasn't actually killed any player characters yet, so I would love to have something like that happen at some point. She won't kill just anyone, though. You would have to be a threat to her, or you bequeath an item to her upon your death, and she accelerates your death. More fun child CR would be good, and more adults to dote on her and be oblivious to her creepy behavior. And of course, people to see right through her!

ANYTHING ELSE: While I always try to be careful when exposing AM to others, he still comes from a very violent, triggery canon. If you want to opt-out of some or all interactions, please comment in this screened post. Likewise for Rhoda, her opt-out post is here.

NAME: Teri
CHARACTERS: Stocke, all on his lonesome as usual!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Former amnesiac assassin/spy, time traveller, and JRPG protagonist, currently a slightly more amnesiac shade. (Thanks Ryslig.) Stocke's simultaneously the kind of guy who'll go out of his way to do things as small as get a random stranger who needs it a coffee... aaand someone who's gotten used to ignoring his own moral compass in the name of the "greater good." He's kind of a mess, is what I'm saying.

Stocke is generally well-intentioned and entirely willing to help almost anyone in need; if you need someone to get your unfamiliar character out of trouble, he's there for you! At the same time, he's absolutely merciless when he feels he's given a good reason; he's acted as an assassin for roughly as far back as he can remember - since the age of 16 - and he's entirely willing to stab someone in the back instead of the front, if that's what it takes. As far as he's concerned, it's better him, who already has dirtied hands, than anyone else. Nor is he averse to taking suicidal risks... as long as the risk falls on him instead of someone he cares for.

For all that, he's surprisingly idealistic when it comes to other people, even while being not entirely trusting. Or talkative. You'd also have trouble finding someone more determined at your back.

Oh and before he got mind-wiped at 16 he was a prince, that was a thing. Canon please

In Ryslig, he's fallen in with the Devil's Nest, where he's Greed's second! He's adapted very well to being a shade, and has a hard time imagining himself ever being human again... though a shade's vengefulness really hasn't helped his worse tendencies. He's aggressively neutral, and by aggressively I mean he'd happily cause trouble for either god - or even their followers - at any good opportunity.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: At some point this month, Stocke will be making a network post to fulfill conditions for a Mana quest; if you just want a conversation with him there's a good place! He'll also be going on an expedition with some of the Nesters; aside from that, though, I have no big plans for him except for his day-to-day! You know, working for a demonic criminal kingpin, spooky spying on people, the usual.

Hit me up if you want to run into him in Bavan, Djavulenstad, or you want a ticket into Djavulenstad. Other locations can definitely be arranged if you need em.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
- Real talk: I'd love to get him actively fighting or sabotaging god followers, especially after he gets his Mana reward. I'm open to working with people who're interested in a neutral nemesis to figure out a way to get them at odds!
On Stocke's part, he's not going to randomly jump followers in the street (probably), but anything he sees that's working toward the Fog or Fourth's advantage? Say, a human sacrifice to go up in the ranks - yeah, sorry, you've got a shade gatecrasher interfering now. On your god follower character's part, if you'd prefer to initiate hostilities, he was responsible for this fiasco back in January (tldr he set off explosives in Dyster and then smashed up the Arcade) and that's definitely something that can be tracked back to him with some investigation. Hit me up if you'd like to work out a way how!
I'm also very open to retaliation to any sabotage he performs. Stocke'll be trying to avoid having it linked to the Nest, but he's absolutely fair game!

- In a more positive vein, it'd be interesting to have him mentoring newbie shades - or any other newbie monsters that might share a few abilities.

- I'm always open for getting him involved in adventures or investigations!

- To counteract the potential god follower brawling, I'd also like to get him a bit more positive CR outside the Nest! It's leaning pretty heavily towards members right now.

- And as always - if there's something you want to do that isn't listed here, just let me know and we can put together a game plan! I'm open to both positive and negative CR and scenarios ranging from SOL to drama to horror to etc, as long as you've got something interesting in mind.

CHARACTERS: Lucas Baker
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: A rowdy, uncouth, and mischievous vampire who came to Ryslig after three years using the taste for blood, ability to straight-up bask in his fascination with the dangerous and morbid, and leeway he got when his wholesome Louisiana family was driven to cannibalistic serial murder to cross a since-child-prodigy-hood engineering hobby over into one in the making of traps and new, creative, and deadly puzzles and games to play with the clan's captives.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Honestly, this month, he's not going to be as... perky as he's been in past months; not in an especially social or make-nice mood and with way too much freshly-unoccupied time on his hands, he's going to be snippy and his impulse is going to be to check out for however-the-heck-long it takes and look for ways to blow off major steam on his own, which, ah... can only spell trouble, coming from him! His opinion of the Fog God is also going to be getting brattier, but given that he sure does want to keep the powers and off-the-leash lifestyle that being in Ryslig allows for, he still ain't de-aligning for the world.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: I am honestly mostly hoping that the point he's gotten to of being able to somewhat come across as a functional human being (or, well, monster!) against the backdrop of the inherent, ah, eccentricity of Ryslig life will be able to fall into a safety net and be maintained; it may be a bit of a struggle, considering that again, he's probably not going to be, ah... that easy to deal with this month, but fresh outlets or challenges to keep him distracted for a while may be the easiest way to do that, whatever they may be.

NAME: Naem
CHARACTERS: Marco Evangelisti
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Marco is the former CEO of a Microsoft-esque computer company who had to kill his dad in self-defense one day. He didn't have to burn all the evidence and keep it to himself, but he did, and he feels guilty about it to this day. He feels guilty about a lot of things, including his relatively recent failure to save literally everyone in Ryslig, which is something he actually hoped to do. He has a few serious issues... but he's working on them! Thanks, Hawkeye.

WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: For the foreseeable future, Marco's going to be keeping a low profile as a Priest of the Fourth God. Ever since he's realised he has actual mental problems, he's decided to be a lot more careful about acting on his gut feelings and all that - even though he still believes in Elias' fundamental goodness and feels quite protective over him. Unfortunately, Marco being Marco and having some well-intentioned but misguided views, he may lean too hard on the "wow I am literally crazy and nobody should trust me ever" side of the spectrum, but hopefully he'll find a balance one day.

Also I'm temp-changing him into a simulacrum next month and he'll have a paperclip for a head and that's the best goddamn idea I've ever had.

SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Haha, this is kind of hard, since I don't have very specific plans right now!

I'm very interested in new CR - Marco has been quite self-conscious since he understood how hard he fucked up and that's been influencing the way he interacts with new people a little bit? I'm not sure if I can put a finger on it beyond, like... he isn't giving everyone the Fourth God Spiel anymore. :U That said, if anyone DOES show interest in joining the Fourth God, he'll be willing to help. Marco is always willing to help. That's kind of his thing.

Speaking of self-consciousness, I'd love some threads with old CR that may have turned somewhat sour after everything Marco's done. I'm not expecting any bridges to be fixed here, but I think it would be interesting to see how things go at this current point.

ASIDE FROM THAT, basically anything! Nerd friends, merfriends, brain friends... and enemies too! I WELCOME ALL.

ANYTHING ELSE: I've started a training program that will last a few months and may mess with my schedule a little bit, but I still intend to tag back at least once a day save for those occasions when I just can't! CHARACTERS: Egon Spengler
TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTERS: Egon is a work-focused, smart and not incredibly social academic with multiple degrees. He's been offering exams, information, and published a free guide with basic information about the peninsula since arrival. He's responsible for most of the lake cleaning as a Nephilim, and works at Liewen labs in the cure division. He is a Ghostbuster with loads of experience in god and monster ass-kicking, and he's got it out for the gods. Especially the Fog.
WHAT YOUR CHARACTER(S) WILL BE DOING: Egon, at the moment, is mostly drinking, sulking, and working. He hates what he's become since his arrival, and even worse is conflicted by it. He is holed up in his lab at the train station most of the time, unless there is an event going on that he is investigating. The lab doors are open however, for anyone who has information they would like to submit for documentation, or questions they want answered. He recently lost five of his six wings and an arm, as well as his first relationship in a long time, and he's really just settled into being alone and drinking away the pain.
SCENARIOS YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Someone to drag Egon out of his rut would be good, either helping him get a handle back on things or, possibly, make it even worse- depending on their intentions. Egon is bent on helping others, but also on a very short fuse at the moment. Being taken advantage of could lead to very bad things for him and anyone else involved. Any encouragement to put himself out there and clean up will be taken very well, even if he's guaranteed to be a bit resistant.
ANYTHING ELSE: I'd definitely warn for substance abuse/some discussion of severe depression, depending on the direction things go discussion of sexuality. I'll try not to make things too heavy though!

I'd say these two have high potential for CR, bonding over sweets, supernatural encounters, and helping people. They seem right up each others alleys. In fact, these alleys are basically and intersection of sugar and bad choices.

Egon will always be a contributor to the clinic, since they've helped him with information (and the limbs) and he's donated his thus-far finished work to the clinic for use. He'll be happy to continue collaborating, and maybe Soeki will consider lending him an encouraging hand.

Yes I love having AM mess with him! And yeah it could definitely go either way. He's just glad to have gotten such great info out of Boone, like swindling someone out of money. If only he knew that Lust was the one he thought was his wife... bwahaha.
