The arrivals month is coming to a close, and we've got new people and new plans in the wings - since there are always brains to be picked and new monster-fan friends to be made, let's kick the weekend off with a getting-to-know-you game!

If you had to pick an absolute favorite Rohan moment in canon and/or anywhere you've played him, what would it be?

Is there a particular type of monster you thought Vriska would get when you apped her? And how has making/playing her as a demon been?

What are your favorite aspects of writing each of your boys?

Canonically, I would have to say the Infamous I Refuse Page from Highway Star! The chapter itself was great for his character development with Josuke but that page super resonates as like a quintessential part of his character.

It's his ego AND him overcoming something literally whispering in his ear telling him to harm someone.

As for in-game, he's changed a whole lot since first arriving but I really have a soft spot for his first exchange with Karamatsu where he is kind of feeling him out and doing pretty much exactly what he is in the canon example I used. Granted, Karamatsu is harmless but he really took him down a few pegs and I like to think Kara developed out of that too!

Oh geez, I don't know. I still feel kinda new to the game, so my plotting has always been "getting settled."

Until then, I guess if he ever had to die, I'd like it be because he was protecting someone. idk I'm a sap like that. I'm looking forward to finally bringing in a fog form later down the line, too.

What's your favorite thing you've gotten to have AM do or have happen to him in-game?

I always love that Kat looks so happy in that icon!

And with Josh, ha, it mostly started off as a whim! I wrote an Until Dawn one-shot one night that wound up dialogue-heavy, and I wound up liking writing his voice so much that later in the week, I whipped up an account for him and started throwing him off of the other UD characters around at the time - I got and stayed hooked!

With Lucas and Mettaton, it was admittedly the fact that they're my favorite characters in their respective games but that I didn't feel like I was seeing enough of the parts of their characters that I find most fun to watch as traits (e.x. that Mettaton has a caring side and does like to make other people happy, but that he can also be so jarringly insensitive without a care in the world, and that he is a bit of a badass but is so darn campy; or that Lucas is smart but is also a big, bratty child) through peeking at fanwork of them - that transitioned into well...? Wouldn't that be fun to write yourself? and so I jumped into whipping up accounts for them - it also helped that with all three characters, I dig their "energies" and ways of physically expressing themselves, which are things I get a load of enjoyment out of picturing and trying to describe!
