[Kain would like to enjoy the sound of AM's voice... maybe he does on some level, it means he managed to fight back. It means a very small victory for him, against an enemy that he fears and hates so much. He growls, stepping away as much as he can.]

[Even as bloody saliva trickles from the corner of his mouth, AM can't help but smile. Kain's anger is worth it.]

I regret neither. But next time I might have to pull out your teeth.

[Kain backs away, a bit horrified about the prospect. After the torture, and everything else that's happened involving AM, Kain knows to take all of his threats very seriously.]

You'll do nothing of the sort!

Oh, but I will.

[He keeps up his confident facade. It's easy to be confident around Kain, even though he just bit into his tongue, almost tearing it off.]

It would be so easy for me to cast a spell and immobilize you on the spot.

[He just won't mention that he hasn't mastered such a spell yet.]

But then why would I stop at just pulling the teeth out? I could do so much more. [He leans in slightly, hissing the last word for emphasis.]

Y- you won't! You won't and you can't!

[Cringing, Kain backs away more. He's shaking, clearly very terrified of AM, unable to hide how much the other repulses and horrifies him. He shakes his head.]

You may have tormented me considerably in the past, but it's over. It's never happening again.

Words can only do so much.

[But AM is one to talk. He's threatening Kain but not doing anything. He would have done more had he not been bitten. Ugh.

He leans back and waves dismissively.]

But you need to learn how to kiss better if you ever want any chance with your precious Rosa.

[He hates the mocking way AM says that, hates how much it gets to him, prodding at his worst issues.]

Trust me, if that were a willing kiss, I would never have done any harm.

Ah yes, of course, my apologies: her mouth is far too busy engaged with that of your best friend.

[He shouldn't goad Kain, but it's so much fun. How can he resist?]

I guess you will have to make do with me instead. [He smirks. He's so ready to lean back in and kiss Kain again, though this time with less tongue. So he does lean in, aiming to grab hold of him once more.]

Don’t say another word about that.

[Oh, god, oh god, AM knows exactly how to get to Kain. He scowls harshly when Cecil is mentioned, that old pang of jealousy smacking him head on. He hates the reminder so much. While he’s busy being a monster and suffering, Rosa and Cecil are back home, oblivious.]

[Kain flexes his claws instinctively, tempted to slice AM’s throat. Could he even succeed?]

[When AM grabs him, he cries out in alarm, trying to use the claws to defend himself. But AM has a tight grip on him.]

Let go!

[Kain is so easy to rile up. And so fun! If he wasn't this fun, AM would have gotten bored and left a long time ago. But then again, his tongue still throbs in pain.]

Oh come on, you know that no one else will ever bother to kiss a sad person like yourself.

You might as well enjoy it.

[He leans in to kiss him yet again, but those claws strike out, coming close to his throat.

AM growls in frustration as his skin is sliced open, letting go of his enemy and backing away.]

You know what humans do with bears who stray too close to human territory, don't you? They euthanize them.

[At times like this, he doesn't mind his more monstrous, animalistic side... he even wants to give in to it a little, growling threateningly at AM. What he wouldn't give to tear him apart, to end all of this once and for all. Too bad it wouldn't be that easy, though. He'd just return.]

Then it's a good thing I'm stronger than some plain bear. And you're wrong... you're completely wrong about that.

[But Rosa didn't want to kiss him, not like that... sigh...]

[As much as AM would love to harass Kain even more, he knows that there's only so much he can push. Those claws have already scratched him near the collar; any closer and it could have opened his jugular.

Then again, with the Fog God's blessing, that wouldn't have killed him.]

You're not strong. You're expendable. It's only lucky that I have too much fun keeping you around.

I'm far from expendable... you make it seem that you have more control over me than you do. But you're wrong! You have no power over me...

[Except he does. He has a great deal of power over Kain... power which he's exerted far too often. He's scarred Kain beyond repair, even haunting his dreams. Not that Kain will admit this.]

There's nothing fun about being around you.

[AM just laughs and laughs at Kain.]

You don't know what it's like not to be subject to the power of another.

I don't think you'd even know what to do if you were ever truly free.

I'm free right now, and I was free back home. This just proves that you don't know anything about me.

[But... he's not wrong, is he? Kain gave his allegiance to the King, to the dragoons and his father, it was always to someone, growing up. Then Golbez and Zemus had come along and he'd been so desperate to belong to them... And now here he is, beholden to the gods here.]

[He laughs again. The bleeding on his tongue has finally stopped, and he has mostly adapted to speaking with this swollen lisp. But still. It feels like he has a golfball in his mouth. Damn it.]

But that's a rather childish thing to do.

[Kain sneers at him, his anger rising yet again. The lisp he’s speaking with does at least give him some satisfaction, anyway. It’s better than nothing.]

I’m not being childish, and I’ve never been one to scream and cry. [Except that time he was recorded while dying horrifically, for everyone to hear.] Hmmph, you’re just reaching for reasons to mock me.

I'm not reaching at all. It's actually almost too easy to rile you up. I'd prefer a challenge next time.

[Another laugh as he turns around, tossing his hair dramatically over his shoulder.]

Perhaps it's something you should work on. [He laughs and exits the scene.]

[Kain can only make an exasperated growl as AM leaves. He's not about to go after him now, and risk something worse happening. He's seen how quickly the other can gain the upper hand. No, he just... needs to get out of here, very fast... In the opposite direction.]
