You ain't seen shit yet. [She's thinking of Eddie and Jake, of course, and whatever that says about time, that they should be here before she ever was.]

[She lets his arm go around her shoulders without comment, although her wings twitch a little when he brushes over the top of them. There's a lot of nerves bundled in those wings, more feeling in them than she'd ever expected.]

And I ain't tellin' you. I want to see your face when you try it.

[She smirks, but only for a moment, before seriousness edges into her expression again. A decade. That's hard to get her head around - even harder, somehow, than imagining the time Eddie and Jake have told her about. Possibly it's because it's so hard to think there's a decade between them, that Bert is older than she ever got to be - and that he still remembers.]

[He remembers. That's something she means to come back to, because there's a whole lot of holes in what she knows about her story. She wants - actually, doesn't want, but needs - to know what came next.]

[But that's for later. She can interrogate him later, and she's pretty sure she will. For now, she'll just lead him down the street to a little café, trying to bring her focus back to the present.]

[...Trying to think of something to say in the present is hard.]

They got all kinds here. For someplace people hate so much, livin's pretty damned soft. Takes some gettin' used to.
