Ever since the changes, Madoka's been avoiding the citizens of Vandare.
It's a mutual endeavor, of course. The residents of the town haven't trusted the newcomers ever since the changes first started, and it's not like Madoka can blame them. She's heard the whispers - heard that Miss Miles, you know, down from the convenience store? Well, she went missing a few days ago, and they found blood between her floorboards, and that's not even bringing up what little Bobby saw the other day...
So Madoka's been keeping to herself and trying as hard as she can to not let it get to her. It's not like she needs any help feeling hideous, after all; her distended arms, the bone jutting out of her forehead and arms, the crack and bend in her hoof-ended legs all take care of that for her. but even if she looks like this, she can still try to help out the other newcomers in whatever way she can - and besides, if new people have started showing up again, someone needs to be here to try and help them through all this.
It's in one of the alleyways of the town (she mainly goes through them at this point; villagers don't have to see her, and she doesn't have to see the looks they give) that she spots the Haruspex. She hesitates for a moment in approaching him - his style of dress is odd, and she can't tell whether he's a villager or not - but he doesn't look or smell familiar, at least. He smells sick, even. Like his meat is spoiled, rotting from the inside...
Madoka does her best to force the hunger down before she calls out to the man.
oh my goD YES. lay some sick menkhu on me
