[This wasn't Tokyo, or what was left of anyways. But any relief at seeing people, safe not rioting, not being chased by demons... is quickly snuffed by the fact he has NO IDEA WHERE HE IS. Hibiki, Io, Joe... everyone is missing. Or more likely HE'S missing, again.

He wanders for a bit before some people from Bavan, looking to invite more monsters, spot him. His out-of-place-ness is clear, and they are eager to see transformations happen from the start, trying to convince Daichi to leave with them.
He seems... less then enthused, but not able to verbally break away. Uh oh]

[Outside town, near the coast, the ground is much looser and sandy, though not outright beach yet. It's here that someone might hear, just inside the wood line, a voice calling out for aid. Daichi, it seems, has fallen down a hole like the genius he is, half buried in sand and gravel, only his upper body still free.]
