[Okay, a word stating that she is okay, that the situation is okay, but she's not too sure about that. Particularly when there is a reply to her words, causing her to stop within her tracks trudging from sand to the line of foliage away from the surf. It wasn't that she wasn't expecting to hear a voice eventually, but she wasn't expecting to hear a voice this soon and certainly didn't expect it to sound so much like a kid, someone younger than her. Still, Ellie knew in her own world children could be just as dangerous as adults so she's not taking any chances here. Particularly when she sets eyes upon what is actually speaking to her; because she's read a fair number of books, travelled pretty far and while she isn't exactly used to the outside world completely, she is fairly certain green, fluffy animals don't talk except maybe in fantasy.
She is the focused type, so with the second set of words this all becomes pretty clear to her, it's not the background, it's not a lapse in sanity, it's an actual fucking animal that is green and it's talking.]
What-- [Her voice snaps, immediately to the defensive, reaching down to scoop up a smooth rock that fits within the palm of her hand. It's not a brick, but likely stronger.] What the hell are you?
hello there :D !!
