She pauses, trailing off as it dawns on her why Beatrice would ask about this in the first place. Her eyes go a little wide, her fingers moving to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear as she tries not to feel too slow for not realizing where this line of questioning was headed before now.
"...I'm so sorry, I've gone and raised your hopes, haven't I?"
