[He knows how difficult it must be for Howard, for him to suddenly be alive after so much time has passed. And the changes that this place has done to him; well, he can only begin to guess what Howard must think of those. It had been the same for him when he had learned Bucky had been alive this whole time. It's a shock to the system to resign yourself to the idea of a person being dead just for them to walk back into your life one day. He wishes there was an easier way for him to reveal himself, but he's learned that sometimes it's best to tear off the band aid directly.
Steve feels a little self conscious watching Howard's expression as he takes in Steve's appearance, his large wings twitching behind him like they don't know whether to flare out to give the man a better look or remained tucked behind his back.
But when Howard finally speaks, tension eases out of Steve's shoulders as he listens to the other man's rambling. It's so familiar, the cadence and speed of his words, just flowing out of him. He can't help but compare it to Tony's. Tony's speech pattern is very similar, pure Howard with a bit of his own unique spin.]
Funny, I never really pictured you as the Hollywood type, Stark.
[And yeah, it's probably time to start explaining some things.]
