She's absolutely grotesque, in his opinion - unnatural, inhuman. Somehow worse than a shinigami, because, he assumes, she used to be human and has been changed into this instead. Light can think of few things more horrifying than having control of one's own body forcibly wrested away, turned into something monstrous without consent. It's an idea he rails against with every fiber of his being, and one to which he knows it's only a matter of time before he too succumbs.
