[The woods, at least, are dark. She doesn't have to spend most of the day hiding from the sun or feeling absolutely exhausted when she has to be out in it. Instead, she can move freely, her presence announced ahead of her by her eyes, which glow white. They act as a beacon, she knows, but she also feels somehow secure.
Like her powers before, Marie can protect herself much better like this than just as a normal girl.
Maybe that's fate. Maybe she is just meant to be a monster who consumes others. After all, that's what she does like this, just like before. She can't run from it, but she can't bring herself to embrace it yet, either. When she notices movement ahead, she stops.]

[In the fog, she's dangerous, and she's not human.
Instead, Rogue is a shadow, passing through whatever solid objects block her way. And she's hungry. Very, very hungry. Which is why she's found a human and trapped them against a wall. The man screams as her hand reaches into his body and pulls something out, which is absorbed into the shadow form. The screaming stops, and the man collapses.
She steps back and turns the head that isn't quite solidly there to look at... something.]
It's rude t' stare.

[Outside the fog, Marie looks human. Mostly. Her eyes glow white, and those who can sense auras can, no doubt, see the shadows hovering around her. Her temperament has changed, too. Sharper and harsher, almost completely unforgiving.
She avoids sunlight, though, which is why she's doing her shopping today, under an overcast sky. Not that she needs much. Food is pointless now, but there are clothes to consider, which mostly involves fabric she can sew into clothes. There are also simple things to keep the household looking like it's actually lived in.
She can feel the darkness inside of her, and she can feel herself getting used to it.
That is perhaps the most terrifying thing.
But-- Ah. Now, that's a new face. She approaches and gives a nod.]
