Jade Ellsworth | Morning Glories

[one]

[Jade doesn't know where she is, but she's sure of one thing, there is no way this could go well. She also knows that when you arrive at a new, mysterious and decidedly creepy place, putting some distance between yourself and the hospital is a good idea. She isn't about to become the unwilling patient of some crazy nurse too fond of experimental treatments. Again.

As Jade makes her way further and further from the hospital, she becomes more and more unsettled. She keeps her distance from the locals, arms crossed across her chest as if daring them to approach her. This isn't her school, it's nowhere she's ever been before, and she half believes it's one of her weird dream again.

Could this be a dream? It had to be, that was the only somewhat reasonable explanation. Jade begins looking for a sign, something familiar to latch onto. Her dreams are always weird and disturbing, but they're never random so there must be something familiar there, she just has to find it.

Lost in this thought, Jade distractedly runs into the closest person, sending a sharp pain coursing through her elbow.]

Sorry, I didn't se--

[The collision doesn't hit her as hard as the realization that this probably isn't a dream.]

Holy shit.

[two]

[Woods really aren't Jade's thing. If several of your classmates had ended up dead in the woods after the world's most messed up version of capture the flag, they probably wouldn't be your thing either. But she has to find answers. She has to get home, even if that means venturing into the forest that practically screamed "Welcome to Murderville".

Jade decides staying on the paths is her best bet for making her way through the woods and to the other side. There had to be an end to them, right? But the path seems to be going in circles, and as all the trees began to blend together in one seemingly endless mass of forest, she begins to panic. She's come to the distressing conclusion that's she's totally and completely lost. After a moment of debate, she steps off the path, knowing it's a bad idea, but she's desperate. The only thought on her mind is getting out of the forest, any way she can.

When Jade hears the giggling, and can she mention how creepy that is, she freezes in place, looking around frantically for the source of the noise.]

Hello? Is someone there?
